FoxTrail is the Winter Running series based in and around the beautiful Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar, East Lothian.  The six race series, set to the backdrop of East Lothian’s most iconic beaches, estuaries and coastline, will be centred primarily on the East Neuk of the county between Lochhouses and Belhaven beach, utilising what must be some of the most scenic trail routes in the country.

After the success of the 5k series last year we are now launching a NEW Night Time 5K! with four races in the 5k series this is the perfect introduction to trail running for runners of all abilities!

Race 5 – Race results! 

Harvest Moon Half Marathon

The penultimate race of the the FoxTrail Winter Running Series and what a race it is! The pinnacle of the FoxTrail series, the Harvest Moon Half Marathon takes a wee bit from the first 4 races and combines it into one stunning half marathon event! We had woodland tracks, muddy and mossy trails, bouncy pine forest floors, clifftop trails and stunning views, not to mention the beach section and stream crossing…. twice!

Kicking off at the Harvest Moon Treehouses the half marathon is the second off-site event in the series. New trails, new atmosphere and the pleasure of the portaloos!

The series this year has seen a brilliant participation spread of ages, and a boost in female participants compared to males. Not only have the girls participated in high numbers, they are also storming the finish tables with the first and second place females finishing in the top 10 overall in the half marathon!
