FOXTRAIL WINTER RUNNING SERIES,
RACE SIX 13K RUN
Going out with a bang is our final race of the series, we head back to our roots and to the first race; the iconic 13K at FoxTrail HQ. This race gives you a chance to challenge you PB from race one and your insider knowledge of the course will tell you when to keep some in the tank and when to give everything you’ve got!
The course meanders through stunning woodland and farm tracks incorporating the John Muir Way in the beautiful John Muir Country Park. Be prepared once again for a mix of terrain over a fairly flat course, and be proud crossing the finish line a FoxTrail series runner. Whether you’re challenging your first 13K time or this is your first FoxTrail Event this is one to give your all!
The third and final 5K race will also take place on the 4th, with both series finishing it’ll be that time of year again… the announcement of series winners! Prize giving will take place as usual for the 13K, but will also be followed by the overall series winners.
Please note that there will be a mixture of different and challenging terrain on the route and conditions will be muddy, soft and very slippy in areas. We would recommend using trail running shoes for the race.

Parking will be located within the Foxlake car park and overflow car park. Please refer to ‘Get in Touch/Location’ section of the website for specific directions.
Water Station Location still to be confirmed. Free Tea or Coffee with a biscuit, will be provided after the race.
All runners will receive their race number and safety pins at registration. And tea/ coffee and biscuits after the race.
All routes are way marked with tape and signposts, and marshals will be situated at key points in the race.
Please remember to double check the route map before the race start.

The FoxTrail Winter Running Series is covered by event/public Liability Insurance, all racers and spectators that attend the event and participate at their own risk.
The top three men and woman in each race will receive our coveted handmade medals and a goodie bag with prizes from our generous sponsors 2Pure, Nathan, and Feetures.
The overall series winner will be announced on the final race day, to be eligible for the series winner award you must enter at least 4 of the 6 events. For those who entering the full series, your top 4 rankings will be the ones to count.
A veteran’s series winner will be announced at the final race only, so definitely not one to miss!
There will also be sponsored spot prizes given out on race days.
Race marshals will have minor first aid kits and a radio/ mobile phone if further assistance is required, the majority of marshals are also qualified firs aiders.
The race start/ finish area will also have first aid provisions and first aid qualified staff.
In the event of extreme weather the race may be cancelled and re-arranged for a later date. In the event of this race being cancelled we have marked Saturday 12th of November as the reserve date. Regretably we are unable to offer refunds for participants unable to make the reserve date.
Wherever possible please share transport to and from the event with other runners and help us reduce the carbon footprint of our events.
A train from Edinburgh is available to/ from Dunbar train station and then via bus (East Linton bound buses, ask for Foxlake Adventures) or a taxi. Bus times are infrequent; a taxi may be more suited to race times.
