FOXTRAIL WINTER RUNNING SERIES,
RACE TWO 10K NIGHT RUN
Race two is something special…it’s in the dark, its got good tunes and it’s got the trails! With a party atmosphere during and after the race this is a 10K like no other! Look forward to the woods being lit up and banging music as you pass HQ at the mid point.
It’s time to don the head torch and join the ranks of over 200 runners under the stars as you meander through trails surrounding Foxtrail HQ.
The route is made up of a 5K loop that will be run twice, giving runners the opportunity to check in at HQ and be spurred on by some banging tunes and FoxTrail supporters, this is also a good opportunity to challenge your first 5K split time. As this route is in the dark you will need to keep your wits about you. The route is mostly farm trails and woodland areas so the terrain will be loose gravel and grass underfoot, and it wouldn’t be FoxTrail without getting a bit wet in our water splash! This route will be more heavily marshalled than the daytime routes and signage will be in more detail. Despite this it is still important to study the route map prior to the race. This route is many a FoxTrail runner’s favourite race, and with the addition of the Saltire theme this will be one to remember!
Extra kit will be necessary for this race, see the Kit List section for more details.
Race Route; TBC
Please note that there will be a mixture of different and challenging terrain on the route and conditions will be muddy, soft and very slippy in areas. As this race is in the dark a head torch is mandatory and we would recommend using trail running shoes for the race.
