FOXTRAIL WINTER RUNNING SERIES,
Alongside the 1st December Night Time 5k and 10k we’re upping the ante to something completely new… Saturday the 2nd December sees the launch of the NOCTURNAL ULTRA!
Race start will be 4pm at Foxlake, for the next six hours participants will run on a 5k loop competing to cover the most ground possible in the 6 hours!
With both a solo event and a relay team event you can choose to tackle the Nocturnal Ultra on your own, or choose to share the challenge and compete in a team of three runners. Whoever completes the most laps in the 6 hours thus covering the furthest distance will claim the title of NOCTURNAL 6 CHAMPION 2017/18. This is a game of tactics, patience, and both physical and mental endurance.
Whether running as a solo competitor or in a relay team you will be able to track your position in a live feed of the series standings as you loop through the tent with our chip timing system.
Relay runners- it’s up to you to decide upon a game plan, be it running a lap each or an hour each, you can play to your strengths to run an exciting and challenging race. Relay teams can be Male, Female, or Mixed with the first place in each category earning a 1st place medal.
Whilst you’re not running you can relax and keep the muscles warm in our heated recovery zone, listen to some music, refuel and watch the competition closely on the live stream leader-board. The marquee is also the ideal place for spectators, cheer on your runners from the warmth of the marquee and take in the atmosphere in what will be a spectacular event.
Needing to grab some water out on the trail? The race route will run directly through our rave barn, where a dedicated DJ will be playing a tracks through the decades and party-goers will be there to cheer you on every step of the way. Each lap could see you being transported a decade with some classics tracks being played all the way back from the 60s, the perfect moral booster for the duration of the 6 hour race!
