14 Jan Half Time report on the 18/19 Foxtrail Season.
Happy New Year to all our wonderful Foxtrailers. A new year gives us a good reason to reflect on the first half of the 2018/19 Foxtrail season.
We kicked off the series on 3rd November 2018 with our 13K and 5K races at Foxtrail HQ, Foxlake Adventures. It was great to see lots of familiar faces as well as welcoming lots of new ones into the Foxtrail community. The weather was kind to us and conditions were good.

We then welcomed many of you back for the night 5K and 10K races on the 30th November. The weather wasn’t as perfect that night but the vibe was just as enthusiastic. We then had some crazy Foxtrailers return the following night to do the double and participate in the Nocturnal Ultra. We had 160 solo runners and 80 relay teams of 3. The atmosphere was ELECTRIC! It was a cracking night with plenty of mud, smiles and a rave barn adding to the excitement. Not even a power cut could dampen the spirits in that rave barn! (although we would rather the power cut didn’t happen next year!)
Race Results from the epic Nocturnal Weeekend can be found below;
Race 3 saw the weather spice things up. Baltic conditions at Balgone! The weather didn’t stop an epic turn out for another double race day with our 5k Race kicking off just before our 10K race. Thank you once again to James Grant-Suttie the owner of Balgone Estate for the use of his land and letting us return to such a beautiful location in the East Lothian countryside to host a Foxtrail event.
